We love going out to new restaurants in the area, and we are always blown away by how many great spots there are. Even after exploring for 10+ years, we always find something new in the local food scene that blows us away.

For those who are looking to try something new, Restaurant Weeks offer a great opportunity to try a new-to-you restaurant or to sample menu items that you haven't had before.

Butler County's Restaurant Week is taking on a slightly different format from the traditional model, and participating restaurants are showcasing one signature dish from January 23rd to February 1st in 2026. Guests who try menu items will be entered to win gift cards as well!

In this one, we wanted to share a bit more about the features you should try during the upcoming Restaurant Week.

Butler County Offers a Novel Restaurant Week Format

JJ's World Ash & Gold Pierogi

When we first heard about Butler County's Restaurant Week, one element caught our eye as being very interesting.

Many Restaurant Week concepts we've seen over the years often task restaurants with creating a prix fixe menu at a set price (such as an appetizer, entree, and dessert). Some of these may be regular menu items grouped into a special set menu, whereas others may be unique dishes created for the event outright.

The latter can have its pros and cons, because while you may be able to save money over the regular menu, the dishes may not be a true representation of what a regular menu experience is like at any given restaurant.

Butler County's Restaurant Week recognized that this is an issue (not to mention, prix fixe meals are still somewhat expensive even with a discount) and instead tasked each restaurant to showcase one signature menu item you may want to try.

We really like this concept because it showcases what restaurants do well each and every week, and for most, if you like a featured dish, you can likely find it as a permanent fixture of their menu to order again at a later date!

Even better? Experience Butler County is also running a gift card giveaway during Restaurant Week. Guests who register on the restaurant week website and check-in with during their visit to each restaurant (via geo-tag) will be entered to win.

The grand prize features a $150 gift card to Burgher's Brewing, second prize over $100 in various gift cards to local restaurants, and third prize includes $75 in gift cards!
