Pittsburgh City Agencies & Services
- Jordan Tax Service, Inc. – 3rd party administrator of local income tax collection in Pittsburgh. (Yes, this is the real thing. Yes, we know it is unusual.)
- Read more about local taxes here. The city income tax rate is 3%.
- Road Maintenance – Look up maintenance issues, paving schedules, and more.
- Pittsburgh Parking Authority Permits – Acquire a residential permit if you live on a regulated street.
- Pittsburgh Regional Transit – Learn about public transit in the city. Download the Ready2Ride app as well for mobile ticketing.
- Pittsburgh Public Schools – Read more about local schools here.

- 511 – A portal to check road conditions, accident reports, plow locations, etc.
- Trash Collection Schedule – Find trash and recycling pickup dates here.
- Animal Control – Manage issues with nuisance wildlife, sick wild animals, and more.

- Please note: Some permitting conflicts with county permits. Dog licenses, as noted above, are offered at the city level for residents and county level for non-city residents.

- Department of Human Services – Local social services for those in need, connecting citizens to over 300 local agencies.
- County Assistance Programs – Find out ways the county can help you if you are in need, including discounted transit fare, clinics, accessibility concerns, and more.
