Discover the Burgh is one of the most read websites in Pittsburgh, and is all about sharing the best attractions, restaurants, and activities to do in the region for both visitors and locals alike!
Our articles are review-based and follow Jeremy and Angie's personal experiences visiting businesses and attractions in the greater Pittsburgh area, and since founding our site in 2015 we have featured more than 1,000 unique spots with more added weekly.
What you see is what you get here. We live in the city of Pittsburgh. We do not farm out work to staff two states over. We take our own photos. We are not owned by a media conglomerate, venture capital firm, or have any global sponsors. All articles are written by the two of us alone and feature our honest opinions good, bad, or otherwise.
We are Pittsburghers, writing for Pittsburghers and visitors to Pittsburgh, and we sure do love this great city!
Disclaimers: We do not accept guest posts. We do not sell dofollow links. We receive many requests for these but we are unable to accommodate them at this time.

Available Coverage Options on Discover the Burgh
Note: Our ability to accept hosted editorial opportunities in exchange for coverage is limited. We are prioritizing paid advertising campaigns at this time. If you are hosting a formal media preview event please still get in touch using the form below.
Discover the Burgh primarily features first-hand reviews of attractions, hotels, restaurants, bars, breweries, annual events, and other experiences in southwest Pennsylvania. For potential partners, we can offer flexible promotion options.
For advertising on our site and social channels, we are happy to provide a rate card for any promotion that requires branded messaging, fixed post quantities, deadlines, and more. All rates are quoted in USD and we do not accept in-kind payment for any advertorial packages. Any content created from this option will include “advertisement” or “sponsored” language as well.
Our advertising capabilities include inclusion in our events calendar, custom promotional articles, fixed social media shares of 3rd party content (best value), contests, product reviews, newsletter sponsorships, features in an event listing calendar (launching April 2023), sponsored event feature in monthly event guides, and more. We are also able to offer programmatic display advertising through our ad network, Mediavine (click here for an immediate quote).
- Rates begin at $50 for our editorial calendar, $500 for sharing third party content, and $1,000 for custom content creation.
We are also able to offer affiliate packages where we can reduce or waive our advertising rates and instead negotiate payment as a fixed percentage of sales such that we only get paid if you do (limitations apply). In this option, we prefer to offer a custom discount code to our readers in existing articles (if applicable), in our newsletter, in a custom coupons section on our site, and via additional social shares.
- Please note that tracking of conversions would be required on your end (e.g. via payment systems like Stripe and Toast, your web portal, or your Eventbrite listing). Any content created from this option will include “advertisement” or “sponsored” language as well.
All hosted content on Discover the Burgh is at our discretion, availability, and fit for our site. We reserve the right to decline any invite or advertising request for any reason. For advertising options outside of southwest Pennsylvania, we are able to offer coverage on our global travel blog, Living the Dream.
