Oh dry January, you are always fun.

This annual celebration has become something of a global phenomenon, as many of us look to use the somewhat slow month as a chance to detox and get a break from indulgences (especially after the holidays).

Whatever your reason for participating in dry January is your own. But if you are looking to enjoy the flavors of your favorite beverages without alcohol, a number of restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries are starting to offer great options for dry January in Pittsburgh!

In this one, we thought we'd share some of the spots with the finest assortment of products. While this one is not comprehensive, we wanted to include places that have larger menus, share a variety of products, and more to give you a great cross-section of alcohol-free beverages in the city to consider if you are abstaining.

Please note: This article focuses on offerings for Dry January specifically and may not necessarily be accurate year-round. While many of the bars, restaurants, and breweries featured have great non-alcoholic products at all times, some increase their offerings for January. Likewise, cocktails, beers on draft, and other beverages are always liable to change. Please reconfirm directly with any business prior to visiting. Finally, some drink photos in this article may be alcoholic and are for illustration only.

Bottles to Go – The Open Road

The Open Road

The Open Road is Pittsburgh's premier bottle shop for all things non-alcoholic products. Whether you're looking for non-alcoholic beers, spirits, wines, and other beverages, this one has a seriously impressive lineup of alcohol-free and de-alcoholized products.

The Open Road is located at 5401 Penn Ave in Garfield.

Beer to Go – Bierport

Bierport

Bierport (connected to Row House Cinema) is often considered to be one of the best bottle shops in the city for delicious and unique craft beer from local breweries, domestic favorites, and even rare releases from international producers.

Naturally, this shop often has a stellar selection of non-alcoholic beers, and historically has had upwards of 20 or so NA beers available during our visits.

Bierport is located at 4115 Butler Street in Lawrenceville.

Non-Alcoholic Beer on Draft – Two Frays Brewery

Two Frays Brewery

Pittsburgh's local breweries are getting into the non-alcoholic beer scene, and Two Frays Brewery in Garfield is at the forefront. Not only does Two Frays typically have NA beers on draft at all times, with three on tap at the time of publication in January 2026 (a west coast IPA, Kolsch, and fruited blonde).

Two Frays Brewery is located at 5113 Penn Avenue in Garfield.

Ginger Beer and NA Cocktails – Jackworth Ginger Beer

Jackworth Ginger Beer

Pittsburgh's resident ginger beer brewery, Jackworth Ginger Beer in Larimer, is mocktail-friendly year-round. One of the reasons for this is that they brew both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ginger beer and create unique cocktail creations with each on-site (roughly two each at the time of publication). So whether you want a spirit-infused drink, or a beverage without, you can enjoy some delicious ginger-forward creations here!

Jackworth Ginger Beer is located at 6615 Hamilton Ave in Larimer.

Draft Cocktails and Growler Fills – Goodlander Cocktail Brewery

Goodlander Cocktail Brewery

Goodlander Cocktail Brewery, located just across the street from Jackworth Ginger Beer, is unique in that they have designed all of their cocktails to be served on draft- just like at a brewery. While most of their creations are spirit-forward, they tend to have several NA options available to enjoy on-site or to take a cocktail to go in a growler.

This means that you can not only enjoy their creations on-site, but you can also take several servings to enjoy at home or even catch them on the menu at area bars and breweries! In January 2026 at the time of publication, Goodlander Cocktail Brewery had three NA creations available.

Goodlander Cocktail Brewery is located at 6614 Hamilton Ave in Larimer.

Non-Alcoholic Cocktails – Lawrence Hall

Lawrence Hall

Lawrence Hall is one of the best food halls in the city and features four food concepts and has an impressive bar program called Dear James.

The restaurant has one of the most robust non-alcoholic cocktail menus in the city and has five unique mocktail creations available to try out, plus an assortment of alcohol free wine, beer, and more.

Lawrence Hall is located at 4609 Butler Street in Lawrenceville.

Great Variety – Pre-Amp

Pre-Amp Coffee

Pre-Amp Coffee in Squirrel Hill is an artisan coffee shop by the Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group. But while you may visit this one for a caffeine fix, you may be surprised to find out that they have a fairly robust mocktail menu in the city, too!

With alcohol-free takes on classic cocktails, hopped water, cider shots, and more, this one really has a lot to offer for those looking for an NA beverage. Just be mindful that this one does close somewhat earlier than others on this list.

Pre-Amp is located at 5840 Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill.

Cocktails – Space Bar

Space Bar

Space Bar has been serving some exceptionally made craft cocktails using molecular techniques since opening in 2024. But did you know this one is home to one of the most robust non-alcoholic cocktail games in the city year-round?

Space Bar typically has about five or six non-alcoholic cocktails available at any given time, including alcohol-free takes of popular menu items (the NA Tartooine Sour is a particular favorite) as well as unique creations without alcohol.

Space Bar is located at 22 Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh.

Beer – Allegheny City Brewing

Allegheny City Brewing

Allegheny City Brewing in the North Side may not have their own non-alcoholic beers on draft. But those who want to hit up a brewery and still enjoy an NA beverage have several options here. The brewery typically always has cans of NA beer, canned hop water, and a non-alcoholic cocktail from Goodlander Cocktail Brewery on tap at most all times.

So if you want to have a night out with friends and still get some delicious non-alcoholic beverages, do not overlook a stop at ACB!

Allegheny City Brewing is located at 510 East Ohio Street in the North Side.

Cocktails – City Kitchen

City Kitchen Mocktail

If you're in the mood for a restaurant with an impressive mocktail menu for dry January, don't overlook City Kitchen galley in Bakery Square!

Not only does this one have a number of concepts in its food hall format, their on-site bar gets into Dry January with nine (yes, nine) unique mocktail creations ranging from riffs on classics (flavored mules, NA bloody Mary's, and mojitos) to unique house creations. With a lot to choose from, this is one of the largest mocktail menus in the city we've seen so far!

City Kitchen is located at 145 Bakery Square Blvd in Bakery Square.
