The Meadowcroft Rockshelter is located in Avella, PA, about an hour southwest of Pittsburgh.
Although this one is a bit of a drive, it is worth the trip during their seasonal hours in order to check out the 19,000 years of human history found on the property!
Cross Creek County Park is a 2,000+ acre park in Washington County just east of Avella, PA (about 50 minutes west of Pittsburgh and just a few miles from the Meadowcroft Rockshelter).
The park features several areas with facilities such as picnic tables, kids play areas, and more, but the real gem of this park is Cross Creek Lake!
Art All Night is an annual pop-up art event in Pittsburgh that takes place each spring with an incredible array of art, hosted without juries or censorship, open for just one day (including overnight) for guests to enjoy!

Driftwood Oven was a popular Pittsburgh food truck until early 2018 when the owners decided to ditch the wagon and open a brick and mortar restaurant right in the heart of Lawrenceville.

La Tavola on Mount Washington is an acclaimed Italian/Sicilian restaurant that offers family cooked meals in a slow dining ambiance that we consider to be one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh.
But while the restaurant may have a die hard following in local circles, their pizza shop located around the back of the restaurant is lesser known.

Burgh'ers is a local burger joint that began with their first location in Zelienople, PA (about 30 minutes north of the city).
I had been eating at this one for years but never had the ability to write a review. So when they opened their second location right in the heart of Lawrenceville, I knew I'd finally get my chance to share my opinion of this growing, locally sourced restaurant.
As I expected, the new location did not disappoint.
