After 22 months of construction, the highly anticipated Arts Landing in downtown Pittsburgh had its ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 17th, 2026- just ahead of the NFL Draft.
As we have been eagerly looking forward to this park, I made my way down to the Cultural District to check out Arts Landing during the event and was pleasantly surprised at the space, amenities, and, of course, art!
So let's share a first look at what you can expect at Arts Landing!

Arts Landing is a Mixed-Use Park in Downtown Pittsburgh

Arts Landing is a new four-acre park located in the Cultural District in downtown Pittsburgh, spanning from Penn Avenue to Fort Duquesne Blvd, just between the Warhol and Carson Bridges.

In the past, elements of this space were used for pop-up beer gardens, music, and other limited-time events, but never quite had the full attention it deserved to be a destination in its own right. For Arts Landing, the grounds were expanded (with a few old buildings and a parking garage removed), and the park was reimagined from the ground up to be a beautiful mixed-use space right in the heart of the city.

The park is designed in such a way that it has numerous elements spread throughout. On one corner, there is a kids' play area. On the riverside, a stage can be found for live music and more. Sprinkled throughout can you find an array of art pieces from numerous local artists to name a few.

One thing I love about this particular part is that there is simply a lot of space to spread out. From a large grassy area near the stage, to a large selection of benches throughout, you really could come into the park on one end, check out some of the art, and still feel quite removed from the stage on the opposing side- all with beautiful views of the city in every direction.

As you may expect with its name, Arts Landing is going to be one of the core locations for the annual Three Rivers Arts Festival, typically taking place in June, which we are especially looking forward to as the event has moved locations several times in recent years.
Now all we need is a brewery pop-up and a food truck, and downtown Pittsburgh will have a destination park outside of the Point worth hanging out in for days on end. We cannot wait to see what programming they put on this season!
Arts Landing is located between Penn and Ft Duquesne Blvd between the Carson and Warhol Bridges. The ribbon cutting took place in April 2026 with a soft open scheduled for the NFL Draft and grand opening festivities prepared for the Arts Festival in June.
