Apteka is often considered one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh (and has sat atop our Top 10 list for many years), and does so with an entirely vegan menu.
This Bloomfield-based business serves up a delightful Eastern European menu that changes with the seasons, makes some of the best pierogi in the entire city, and even has a winter pop-up in late January / early February for vegan โjunk foodโ of veggie burgers, fries, and sunflower seed milkshakes.
Just be warned though, the line for Apteka can get quite long, especially during seasonal specials, so put your name in early and then go have a drink a nearby cafe, bar, or brewery until your table is ready. When Apteka is not open for dinner service (typically weekends only), they also double up as a natural wine bottle shop for take-out sales!
