We have a soft spot for all things Oktoberfest, and after getting to enjoy the celebration in Munich for its wild party, we love checking out all of the Pittsburgh Oktoberfest celebrations that take place throughout September (and spill into October).
As there are no shortage of events taking place in breweries and other public places, we thought we would share a few of the top Oktoberfest events you may want to consider. Prost!
Note: This article features a mix of Oktoberfest celebrations that have been announced in 2025 as well as celebrations that took place last year that we hope are returning this year. These will be noted in each section.

Oktoberfest at Teutonia Mannerchor

When it comes to getting into the Oktoberfest spirit, it is hard to beat checking out Teutonia Mannerchor, the normally private German social club in the North Side. This one often opens up for public Oktoberfest parties with ample German brews, a ton of German food for purchase, and of course live music throughout the day and night.
In 2025, Teutonia Mannerchor's Oktoberfest is a little early, running August 29th to August 31st. Don't miss out on the fun if you can check it out! While visiting, be sure to go inside to check out the beautiful Ratskeller in the basement (pictured).
Teutonia Mannerchor is located at 857 Phineas Street in the North Side. Note that Oktoberfest here typically includes an entry fee payable in cash only ($5 as of our last Oktoberfest in 2025 and house “Mannerchor Money” is often available to purchase with credit card in a separate, and typically long, line. As such, cash is recommended for all purchases.
Oktoberfest at Penn Brewery

In Pittsburgh, there is no party quite like Penn Brewery's Oktoberfest. The celebration takes place over the last two weekends of September, covering the 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th in 2025, with fun, food, music, and German brews served indoors and in the outdoor beer garden.
Seating at this one is first come, first served outside of a small selection of VIP packages open for reservation at night. Children are welcome until 8 PM when the event becomes 21+ only.
Penn Brewery is located at 800 Vinial Street in the North Side.
Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest in Canonsburg

In the mood for a larger Oktoberfest celebration that doesn't revolve around a single brewery? Washington County's annual Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest is the place to be. Taking place in Canonsburg on September 19th to 21st, 2025, the festival includes two stages of live music, German and American food, a craft area for kids, carnival rides and games, and, of course, beer!
More information about the Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest can be found here.
Oktoberfest in Downtown Pittsburgh
Downtown Pittsburgh is getting into the Oktoberfest fun in 2025, aptly named Oktoberfest Pittsburgh. This one is likely to run the first two weeks of October (Oct 2nd to 12th in 2025) and, if similar to last year, will feature a Bavarian village, Oktoberfest decorations, games, music, and, of course, beer!
Events scheduled include Feats of Strength, Karneval on the Sixth Street Bridge and a whole lot more. The Biergarten will run from noon to 8pm on weekdays and stayed open til 10pm on weekends.
More details about Oktoberfest Pittsburgh can be found here.
Oktoberfest in Eleventh Hour's German Village

You may be aware that the space Eleventh Hour Brewing is in was once part of the factory run by Charles Brown III, who famously constructed the Bayernhof House (now museum) in O'Hara Township. Naturally, it should be no surprise that the Lawrenceville space has some German elements hidden away, too. Eleventh Hour has also shown off their “secret German Village” during their Oktoberfest as well with programming typically the last weekend of September and First weekend of October (in 2025, their Oktoberfest will be Sept 20th, 26th, 27th and October 3rd and 4th). Saturday programming begins at noon for those who want to enjoy the festivities even earlier!
Eleventh Hour Brewing is located at 3711 Charlotte Street in Lawrenceville.
Smoketoberfest at Roundabout Popup

Smoketoberfest has been a tradition at the Roundabout Popup on the North Shore for many years. After East End took over the space in 2024, they continued the tradition with delicious beer, smoked meats, and more.
In 2025, Smoketoberfest will take place on October 18th from 12 to 5 pm.
VOktoberfest – Vegan Oktoberfest at Velum

Looking to get into the Oktoberfest spirit but don't want a meat-heavy dining menu? Velum Fermentation is partnering with the Pittsburgh Vegan Expo for a unique, vegan-focused event aptly called VOktoberfest!
This unique take on Oktoberfest takes place on September 27th, 2025, from 2-6 PM at Velum in South Side and includes vegan food, beer by Velum, art and products, live music, a Skeeball competition, and more!
Velum Fermentation is located at 2120 Jane Street in South Side.
Rocktoberfest
Want to rock out during Oktoberfest? It is hard to beat live music at Rocktoberfest presented by Beers of the Burgh. This free concert is set to take place on October 5th; however, we are waiting more published information such as location, times, and bands.
Augtoberfest by Inner Groove Brewing
Want to celebrate Oktoberfest a little earlier than usual? The aptly named Augtoberfest by Inner Groove Brewing takes place on August 22nd at their Allentown tap room and August 23rd at their Verona location in 2025 with German brews, live music, food trucks, and a whole lot of fun.
More information can be found on Inner Groove's website.
Golden Age Oktoberfest

Finally, we come to Golden Age Beer Co in Homestead- known for making an array of Old World beer styles. Based on their brews of choice, it should be no surprise this one gets into the Octoberfest fun. Golden Age typically has an Oktoberfest celebration running from the last week of September to the first week of October (September 19th to October 5th in 2025) and typically features daily entertainment, German food, specialty brewed beers, and a whole lot more.
Golden Age Beer Co is located at 337 E 8th Avenue in Homestead, PA.
