There aren't too many places you can get Caribbean food in Pittsburgh, let alone Jamaican food, but Leon's in Allentown is one of them – and it's a spot we'd heard many good things about for quite some time. We recently made the trip there and fell in love with the kicked-up flavors of their traditional curries, stews, and wings.
Alla Famiglia is a fine dining Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood that has stood the test of time. While it used to be a tiny spot in a multi-story house with an open kitchen, in the past few years it has expanded to the adjacent building.
Although the vibe may have changed, this is still one very popular spot for a classic and over-the-top Italian meal.
Vegan restaurants seem to be popping up all over Pittsburgh nowadays, and even though we're not vegan in the slightest, we have really been enjoying these new spots like Onion Maiden in Allentown.
I've always thought it takes more creativity and skill to make restaurant-worthy vegan dishes than meat dishes, and Onion Maiden definitely gets this right.
