But what if you were wanting something a bit more intimate? Well, we are quite fortunate to have a number of great Airbnb rentals located on resort property and within a short drive nearby. So whether you're looking for a ski-on, ski-off townhome rental or a budget-friendly cabin a short drive away, we wanted to highlight some of our favorite options on the popular rental site!
This guide is broken up into sections based on ski resort (Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and Laurel Mountain) as well as those that are located on-property (ski-in, ski-out style) and those that are located off-property and require a short drive to reach the resorts.
Notes: All images of rentals are credited to Airbnb and/or the respective hosts. We have not personally stayed in any of the Airbnbs featured in this guide; however, we are frequent Airbnb travelers and selected these properties for having the things we look for when inquiring about stays- namely great reviews, their location, amenities, and more. These will be highlighted in this guide and please remember that amenities can and do change. Finally, if you book a ski-in, ski-out option be sure to visit the lodge when you arrive to pick up your lift ticket prior to hitting the slopes!
Airbnb Rentals at Seven Springs
If you are looking for ski-in, ski-out lodging at Seven Springs, you may be interested in the following options. While these have a prime location, there is also a modest premium associated with it. If you are looking to save a bit of money and fine with a drive getting to the slopes, scroll down to our section of properties near Seven Springs.
Townhouse with Ski-in, Ski-Out
This gorgeous 3-bed, 3-bath townhouse is located right in the heart of the Southwind are of Seven Springs with quick ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes. And while on the more expensive side for Airbnbs, does offer sleeping capacity for eight guests which really helps get the price down if visiting as a group!
Townhome for Twelve
There is a reason why we love the townhomes in the Southwind area of Seven Springs, as beyond the ski-in, ski-out opportunities they are simply stunning. And this one is something that large groups should have their eye on as it is large enough to sleep twelve and has a two-car garage and four-car driveway.
Sunridge Condo with Hot Tub
Don't worry, we're not exclusively featuring townhomes in the Southwind area of Seven Springs in this one. Just a bit further away is the Sunridge section of the resort which boasts slightly cheaper rentals still with ski-in, ski-out options. This beauty is two bedrooms, sleeps up to nine, and has an outdoor hot tub all for a rather attractive price point. We'd take a slightly longer ski trip to the slopes for this one.
The Village Moose (Pet Friendly)
The Village Moose is another gorgeous townhouse a bit further out that offers ski-in, ski-out options, a beautiful ambiance, and sleeps seven. Even better? This one is pet friendly for housebroken pets for a nominal extra fee!
Airbnb Rentals at Hidden Valley
Much like at Seven Springs, the nearby ski resort Hidden Valley has a number of wonderful options located just a few hundred feet away from the property. These may not be entirely ski-in, ski-out, but many are within walking distance such that it is quite similar. Likewise, if you're looking to save a bit of money and don't mind driving to the park, our next section has properties near Hidden Valley as well.
Three Bedroom with Walk to Slopes
If a three-bedroom townhouse just a brisk walk from the slopes is what you seek, this gorgeous Airbnb is for you. With three bedrooms and the ability to sleep up to seven, this property packs in a lot at a very attractive price point.
Top O the Mountain Retreat
This rustic retreat offers a much more intimate experience than some of the other properties in this guide with two bedrooms and sleeping capacity for five. During the day you're just about 1,000 feet away from the slopes and at night you can light a fire in the on-site wood burning stove!
Hidden Valley Townhome
This is another rustic townhome located just a few hundred feet away from the slopes at Hidden Valley. It comes with two bedrooms and an attractive price point to help get a great ski weekend without breaking the bank!
Airbnb Rentals Near Seven Springs and Hidden Valley
If you don't mind a short drive in and out of the property every day, the Laurel Highlands has a wealth of Airbnb rentals just minutes away from the resorts. In many cases, these have similar amenities to the above but offer a nice discount purely because they're not on-property. In this section, we call out properties that are close to both Seven Springs and Hidden Valley as the two resorts are less than 20 minutes away from each other.
Condo with Mountain Views
Now that we're looking at rentals that require a short drive, we have a few new things we get to highlight. One of which is views! This condo is located approximately one mile from Seven Springs and boasts an impressive view of the slopes from the on-site patio. Couple that this one sleeps up to six for a rather attractive price, and you can see why we like it for an off-premises stay!
Rustic Rental with Sauna
This rustic rental is located just down the road from Hidden Valley, is three bedrooms, and sleeps up to seven guests. Apart from its wood panel design giving a very wonderful cabin ambiance, this one has something unique compared to others in this guide- an on-site sauna!
An Estate for Thirteen
This one may look like a conventional townhome on the outside, but on the inside you have the feel of a traditional Swiss mountain chalet. So gather 12 of your closest friends, snag this one for a really stellar price point, and enjoy its close proximity (2-miles) to Seven Springs for a weekend!
Cabin in the Woods
We know that many of the options in this guide are townhomes in close proximity to other properties. But if you're looking for a more secluded cabin experience that is still just a few miles from the resorts, this gem of a property may be what you seek.
Airbnb Rentals Near Laurel Mountain
As Laurel Mountain is in a state park, no Airbnb properties exist on-property itself. As such, all Airbnb rentals for this one will require a short drive. Some may be just a couple of minutes, and others are upwards of 20 minutes away- so if the distance is a concern for you it may be worthwhile to look into this one just a bit more.
Rustic Cabin in the Woods
While Laurel Mountain State Park may not have accommodations on-site, there are a few houses that are close enough that it is almost the same thing. This rustic cabin is one of the closest you'll find to the slopes, and while you may still need to drive over to the resort, the woods setting and ambiance will make you forget about the couple minutes of driving all the same.
Laurel Mountain Cabin
In need of a slightly larger property for your group of up to 13? This rustic cabin is located quite close to the resort as the previous property mentioned, but has a slightly larger capacity that is perfect for groups.
If a more intimate (and budget friendly) rental is something you're looking for when visiting Laurel Mountain, check out Moonstone Manor. This quaint farmhouse is located just outside of Laughlintown and is about eight miles away from the slopes- offering a great balance between solitude and accessibility!
Fox Haven Cottage
This beautiful cottage sits on 1.6 acres right along McCullen Run Stream and is surrounded by a protected nature reserve. Throw in the fact that it sleeps 10 guests in four bedrooms and is about eight miles from Laurel Mountain, and you have the makings of a pretty great retreat- both for the slopes and nature at large!
